Thief Takes Off With Lotto Tickets, and Other Cop Calls

At 10:47 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to assist a citizen on the 21600 block of Midcrest Drive. According to the report, a woman’s ex-husband hit her vehicle and ran over her son's computer while dropping her children off. The woman said she has a restraining order against her ex-husband. He reportedly took off before police could arrive.

At 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported petty theft on the 24300 block of Muirlands Boulevard. The informant reported that a person ran off with $75 worth of Lotto scratcher tickets from the Village Wine and Spirits liquor store.

At 10:13 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a weapon being brandished near the Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive intersection. The report stated that a man in his 50s sitting at the light got out of his vehicle, reached into a nearby woman's vehicle and began yelling at her. According to the report, after he got back in his vehicle he parked nearby, got out of his car, pulled a knife out of waistband and headed for the caller.

At 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 25400 block of Jeronimo Road. According to the report, 40 to 50 minors were seen fighting in a park, some with bats. Police had units searching for weapons in a field. Three subjects who denied the fight were detained, according to the report.

At 11:06 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported finding a person near the Portola Parkway and Glenn Ranch Road intersection. The informant was walking along a trail and found a disoriented, shoeless elderly man covered in brush. Paramedics responded to the scene.

At 12:56 a.m. Wednesday, police arrested a 42-year-old man on the 20700 block of El Toro Road. According to the report, the man wearing a sports bra and a white skirt was "smoking speed" inside of a black vehicle. Police reported the man had multiple pipes in the vehicle. He was taken into custody and has since been released.

At 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to assist a citizen on the 26300 block of Town Center Drive. The informant reported that a driver in a silver Honda Accord was attempting to run them off the road. According to the report, the driver later chased and attempted to run over the informant.

At 8:08 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported an abandoned vehicle on the 24500 block of Bendricon Lane. The informant said that a moving truck has been parked on the street for several days and that its owner keeps changing their story about how long it has been there. People have begun to graffiti obscene words on the covered truck, the report states.

At 6:09 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 20-year-old man in the 25800 block of Auburn Dale Drive. According to the report, three people took off running after a traffic accident where injuries had occurred. Police caught and detained two of the subjects at a Taco Bell.

At 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported suspicious activity near the Aliso Park Drive and Richford Drive intersection. According to the report, five male minors and one female with "fire-red hair" pulled up to a dirt trail off of Aliso Park. One of the boys was hiding a baseball bat under their jacket, according to the report.
