Sheriff's Blotter: Drag Racing and Suspected Pipe Bombs

10:19 p.m. Thursday. A caller reported a disturbance near the Town Center Drive and Bake Parkway intersection, saying several cars were drag racing in a parking lot near the vacant Mervyns.
7:04 p.m. Thursday. A caller reported a drunken driver near the Portola Parkway and El Toro Road intersection.
3:44 p.m. Thursday. A caller reported a traffic hazard near the El Toro Road and Jeronimo Road intersection. A vehicle carrying two elderly women broke down in a left turn lane at Jeronimo.

2:42 p.m. Thursday. Deputies arrested a 38-year-old man near the El Toro Road and Rockfield Boulevard intersection during a traffic stop. The man was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. He was later released.
11:04 a.m. Thursday. A caller reported suspicious activity in the 22400 block of Aspan. Two people near a Dumpster area had what appeared to be pipe bombs.
