Neighborly Quarrel Ends in Blows, and Other Cop Calls

At 6:38 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance near the El Toro Road and Muirlands Boulevard intersection. The informant thought a man in a large black truck was pointing a gun at a small sedan, but later found out the supposed weapon was actually a potato gun.

At 5:42 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested a 37-year-old woman for a hit and run near the El Toro Road and Rockfield Boulevard intersection. The woman reportedly hit a blue Honda Element and took off running. Police took the woman into custody and there was no posted bail amount.

At 3:24 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person on the 26600 block of Portola Parkway. According to the report, a man in a black hoodie was acting like he was on some kind of narcotics at the entrance to a CVS pharmacy.

At 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, police assisted firefighters near the Portola Parkway and Saddleback Parkway intersection extinguish a tow truck that caught on fire.

At 12:13 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the Lake Forest Drive and Rockfield Boulevard intersection. According to the report, a man suspected of being intoxicated was driving into oncoming traffic and swerving around vehicles.

At 9:09 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 20700 block of El Toro Road. According to the report, the informant was punched in the face by his neighbor because he told him to stop turning off the electricity.

At 6:41 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 24-year-old man on Auto Center Drive. The man was in a traffic accident and appeared to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and has since been released.
