Man Caught Stealing Street Signs, and Other Cop Calls

At 6:41 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported suspicious activity on the 26300 block of Grove Circle. According to the report, five high school-aged boys were seen sniffing some kind of narcotics. Police reported detaining the five males on Summit Hill.

At 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported vandalism in progress near the Leaflock Street and Shadowfax Drive intersection. The informant reported seeing a subject in a red hat tag a green utility box with red spray paint. The subject was last seen walking toward Jeronimo Road.

At 4:28 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested a 30-year-old man for petty theft on the 23700 block of El Toro Road. Police detained the man and took him into custody with no posted bail amount. According to the report, the man was being cooperative.

At 12:31 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported suspicious activity near the Lake Vista Drive and Serrano Road intersection. According to the report, the informant saw two subjects in a green Ford Explorer passing around a bottle and possibly smoking marijuana.

At 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 28800 block of Oakview Lane. The informant reportedly got into a heated verbal argument with a neighbor. The caller stated that the neighbor threatened him with a handgun.

At 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, police arrested a 55-year-old man near the El Toro Road and Trabuco Road intersection. According to the report, the man was caught stealing metal street signs by a city worker. He was taken into custody and has since been released.

At 10:117 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to assist a citizen in the 22900 block of Bonita Lane. A bicyclist was reportedly hospitalized after a vehicle allegedly veered into the bike lane, causing the informant to flip over the bicycle handlebars.

At 9:13 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 51-year-old man in the 25500 block of Azalea. According to the report, the apparently intoxicated man attacked his neighbor and threatened to kill his children. The man was taken into custody and has since been released.

At 8:08 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 23-year-old woman on the 24500 block of Raymond Way. According to the report, the woman was arrested for punching a 20-year-old woman in the stomach. She was taken into custody and has since been released.

At 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 24000 block of Dylan Avenue. According to the report, the informant was upset about two male transients who were reportedly drinking and yelling obscenities in .
