Caller Spots Thief Syphoning Gas, and Other Cop Calls
Selected reports from the Orange County Sheriff's blotter in Lake Forest in the past few days.
At 8:37 p.m. Sunday, deputies assisted firefighters in the 23300 block of Ridge Route Drive. According to the report, paramedics were needed for a person having difficulty breathing at the Timber Apartments.
At 8:42 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a potentially drunk driver near the Lake Forest Drive and Muirlands Boulevard intersection. The informant reportedly witnessed a silver Chevy minivan swerving at a high rate of speed. The driving was last seen heading east on Lake Forest Drive.
At 7:26 p.m. Sunday, deputies assisted firefighters in the 24900 block of Muirlands Boulevard. According to the report, firefighters responded to the scene to tend to a 51-year-old man who was breathing but unresponsive. The report stated the man may have had a drug overdose.

At 6:35 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 21000 block of Jenner. According to the report, the informant’s neighbor was trespassing on their property with a pit bull and attempting to scare the caller's family.
At 6:13 p.m. Sunday, police located a stolen vehicle near the El Toro Road and Trabuco Road intersection. Deputies reportedly detained several people who had allegedly stole a dark blue Nissan Extera. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle because of a tracking system.

At 2:38 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported petty theft in the 20700 block of El Toro Road. According to the report, a subject was seen syphoning gasoline from several vehicles in an apartment complex. The subject was seen leaving in a maroon sedan on El Toro Road.
At 11:32 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 22900 block of Cavanaugh Road. The informant reported they were threatened by an unknown drunk person with a knife.
At 10:45 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a reckless driver in the 24800 block of Lakefield Boulevard. The informant witnessed a man driving a white Ford Focus extremely quickly in their area. There was no report of an arrest.
At 8:04 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle near the Emyvale Court and Kirkwall Lane. According to the report, the informant was concerned about a black Chevy Tahoe that was parked in front of an alleged drug house. The informant suspected a drug deal was taking place.
