At about 3 p.m. today, deputies approached a stopped SUV with guns drawn at Lake Forest and Rockfield Boulevard, and a passerby got it all on video.

According to Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, someone reported a suspicious person in a nearby parking lot and say the occupants of the SUV may have had a shotgun.

That ended up to be unfounded, but the suspects appeared like they may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol and had warrants for their arrest.

Notice how much traffic is on the street and this isn't even rush hour.

Could have been worse, at least the deputies handled it without firing their weapons, unlike some similar situations in and around here. You're right, Jim, look at all of that traffic!

Hi Tom. I was at the Traffic Forum last night and thus am unusually attentive to traffic issues. Obviously the traffic part of the story is unimportant compared to the possible danger, and I'm very glad to see it resolved without any harm to the Police or the suspects.
