Orange County authorities were on the lookout today for an escapee from a county jail in Irvine.
Staff members at the medium-security James A. Musick Jail determined during a routine body count Thursday night that inmate Marvin Manzo was missing, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Gail Krause.
An extensive search of the facility yielded no trace of him, Krause said.
Sheriff's officials said the 35-year-old inmate is a 5-foot-3, 135-pounds with black hair and brown eyes and a history of narcotics and theft arrests. They said he has a nonviolent criminal history and is not considered a threat to the public.
Anyone with information on Manzo's whereabouts was urged to call (714) 288-6742 or (714) 628-7170.
