Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars in Computer Equipment Missing from Truck

The following is a selection of calls from Lake Forest to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from March 22 to March 25.

Police are investigating the disappearance of more than $200,000 in computer equipment from a truck parked in the lot at the shopping center near the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Rancho Parkway on Thursday.

The driver of a commercial truck said he had parked and gone to lunch at a restaurant in the area, said Sgt. Angel Andrade of Lake Forest Police Services. He then returned and took his truck to make a delivery in Rancho Santa Margarita.

He then noticed his truck's rear door had been pried open, with a significant amount of computer equipment missing from the truck's cargo bed, Andrade said.
