Local Man Arrested With Carload Of Marijuana

A traffic stop in Indiana leads to the arrest of a man from Lake Forest on felony charges of possessing and dealing marijuana.

A 64-year-old man from Lake Forest is in an Indiana county jail after police arrested him with more than 200 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle, according to an Indiana newspaper.

A story on JournalGazette.net, based in Fort Wayne, IN, reported that a Monday night traffic stop led to the arrest of Richard Ashley Parker II, of Lake Forest, on felony charges of possessing and dealing marijuana.

According to the story, Parker was stopped by state police for a driving violation when officers spotted what appeared to be bundles of marijuana.

A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed the marijuana, which could rake in more than $900,000 on the street, according to the article.
