What a tragedy for all concerned. Are we really worried about who could sue who? So sad :(

I have reported a man who looks that age a couple of times who stands on the El Toro onramp heading North. He stands terribly close to the cars and always looks like he's waiting to move across the freeway. I wonder if it was that poor soul...he looked indigent, but wasn't carrying anything.

It was on the freeway. Right after the transition from the 405 to the 5 going south. I drove by maybe a minute or two after it happened. I was exiting the Lake forest off ramp and when I drove by I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was real. Couldn't figure out how the body ended up by itself, in the 2nd and 3rd lane of the 5 freeway. One car was parked on the left shoulder of the 5 freeway and the car that hit this person was just pulling over to the right shoulder. Traffic was flowing and there were a lot of cars. Can't imagine this guy thought he could cross this busy freeway.

So sad, and I feel worse for the individual that hit the man. She will have issues on how to handle this for a long time.

According to Steve Concialdi (I double checked, because north of Lake Forest Drive sounds like it could be the 5 since there's an exit at Lake Forest Drive from the 5), the hit was on the 405.
