Mixing Booze and Knives, and Other Cop Calls

A selection of reports from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department from July 8 to July 12.

A man holding a pocket knife outside a local bar got a talking-to from sheriff's deputies after they responded to a report of a man brandishing a weapon while drinking, but no further action was taken.

The call came in about 12:25 a.m. Saturday. Deputies detained the knife man and another person outside the bar in the 23500 block of El Toro Road before determining no crime had been committed.

Disturbance—music or party. 12:47 a.m. Tuesday. 20000 block of Osterman Road. Deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 20-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $20,000 bail.

Disturbance. 11:38 p.m. Monday. 23200 block of Orange Avenue. Deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 28-year-old woman and placed her in custody at Orange County Jail. She was released when she posted bail.

Disturbance. 4:57 p.m. Monday. 24000 block of El Rond Lane.

Traffic stop. 2:08 a.m. Monday. Rockfield Boulevard and Ridge Route Drive. A 23-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Pedestrian check. 12:26 a.m. Monday. Rancho Parkway and Lake Forest Drive. A 29-year-old woman was arrested during a pedestrian check and placed in custody at Orange County Jail with no bail set.

Drunk in car. 11:49 p.m. Sunday. El Toro Road and Interstate 5. A 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Disturbance—family dispute. 9:34 p.m. Sunday. 22300 block of Sunlight Creek. Deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 44-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail. He was released under his own recognizance.

Burglary alarm—audible. 5:58 p.m. Sunday. 26200 block of Lyric Way.

Traffic stop. 12:02 a.m. Sunday. Rockfield Boulevard and El Toro Road. A 74-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Disturbance—family dispute. 8:12 p.m. Saturday. 25200 block of Miles Avenue. Deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 35-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $50,000 bail.

Vandalism in progress. 9:21 a.m. Saturday. 24800 block of Paseo Vendaval.

Traffic stop. 2:16 a.m. Saturday. El Toro Road and Rockfield Boulevard. A 43-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Pedestrian check. 9:52 p.m. Friday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Jeronimo Road. A 50-year-old man was arrested during a pedestrian check and placed in custody at Orange County Jail on $1,500 bail.

Disturbance. 11:49 p.m. Friday. 23200 block of Los Alisos Boulevard.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 7:37 p.m. Friday. 26500 block of Normandale Drive.

Disturbance. 5:53 p.m. Friday. 25500 block of Toledo Way.
