Need a Place to Dump Your Extra Pills?

The Orange County Sheriff's Department and the DEA is sponsoring a "Drug Take-Back Day."

From an Orange County Sheriff's Department press release:

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration is hosting a Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine.

This event will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. This service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Below is a list of collection sites:

  • Laguna Hills City Hall, 24035 El Toro Road
  • Lake Forest City Hall, 25550 Commercentre
  • Mission Viejo City Hall,  200 Civic Center
  • Rancho Santa Martartina City Hall, 22112 El Paseo
