Possible Duck Egg Thieves, a Boy Being Followed on a Bike and Other Cop Calls

The following is a selection of calls from Lake Forest to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from March 18 to March 22.

A caller reported three people across the pond by a tree at Village Pond Park who appeared to be attempting to steal duck eggs. The three people later left, and the caller wasn't sure whether they had stolen eggs. Police made contact with the subjects, and no arrests were made.

The call came in to dispatch at 4:46 p.m. Monday.

A caller said a man in his 20s, driving a black Subaru sports car that had blue tinted headlights and dark window tint followed his 15-year-old nephew for about 10 minutes as he was riding his bike.

The call was made around 7:45 p.m., Monday at the 23900 block of Crescent Road.

Vandalism report. 1:18 p.m. Tuesday. 23200 block of Orange Avenue.

Traffic stop. 8:28 a.m. Tuesday. Lake Forest Drive and Toledo Way. A 21-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Traffic stop. 2:12 a.m. Monday. Ridge Route Drive and El Rond Lane. A 26-year-old woman was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail for women, where she was cited and released.

Disturbance. 10:04 p.m. Monday. 25300 block of Mountainwood Way. A caller requested a patrol check for people being loud in the pool area of a complex.

Citizen assist. 9:09 p.m. Monday. Baffin Bar Frive and Bake Parkway. A woman told police that she was stuck behind the gate at a storage unit.

Welfare check. 6:51 p.m. Monday. 244000 block Corta Cresta Drive. A man requested a welfare check on his 16-year-old daughter. Police called juvenile hall and determined that the daughter was in custody.

Traffic stop. 11:34 p.m. Sunday. Lake Forest Drive and Rockfield Boulevard. A 47-year-old woman, who works as a manager, was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail on $2500 bail.

Battery. 4:35 p.m. Sunday. El Toro Road and Raymond Way.  Police responding to a battery report at Bobby D's Bar & Grill arrested a 34-year-old man and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail on $500 bail.

Prowler. 6:24 a.m. Sunday. 24300 block of Fordview Street.  A resident said a man in his late 50s, wearing a tan jacket, was in their yard and was trying to get in through the back door.

Disturbance. 2:51 a.m. Sunday. 24500 block of Raymond Way. A man called from near the post office and said that his girlfriend had hit him in the eye and that he was bleeding. A woman then called dispatch and said that her boyfriend was being physically abusive with her and that she was upset because he wanted to buy meth. Police arrested a 34-year-old hairstylist and booked him at Central Men's Jail, where he posted bond.

Disturbance. 1:56 a.m. Sunday. El Toro Road and Trabuco Road. Two separate callers reported a man and a woman fighting in a vehicle near a Del Taco in the Stater Bros. parking lot. Police arrested a 21-year-old man and placed him custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Disturbance. 1:48 a.m. Sunday. 19400 block of Rue De Valore. A man reported that he had come home, where his in-laws had been staying, to find his father-in-law choking his wife. The father-in-law had scratches on his face, the man said. Police investigated and arrested a 59-year-old man, who was placed in Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Traffic stop. 1:52 a.m. Sunday. Ridge Route Drive and El Rond Lane.  A 22-year-old painter was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Traffic hazard. 1:25 a.m. Sunday. Serrano Road and Toledo Way. A driver said kids on a nearby path were throwing eggs at passing cars.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 10:22 p.m. Saturday. 28500 block of Brookhill Road. A caller said kids riding in a dark-colored SUV were going in and out with drug paraphernalia visible.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:31 p.m. Saturday. 22300 block of El Toro Road.  Police responding to a suspicious person report arrested a 33-year-old woman and placed her in custody at Orange County Jail  on $20,000 bail.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 1:10 p.m. Saturday. 24300 block of Muirlands Boulevard. Police responding to a suspicious person after a caller reported a man engaging in a drug transaction arrested a 40-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail, where he was release after posting undisclosed bail.

Trespassing. 9 a.m. Saturday. 22800 block of Costa Bella Drive. A resident said a man in his mid-20s was by their front door and by the time they called police, he was in their backyard. 

Traffic stop. 8:36 a.m. Saturday. Trabuco Road and Paseo Tranquilo. Police arrested a 24-year-old construction worker and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail, where he was released upon posting undisclosed bail.

Traffic stop. 10:28 p.m. Friday. Portola Parkway and Towne Centre Drive.  A 27-year-old construction worker was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail, where he was being held with no bail set. 

Investigate dead body. 4:20 p.m. Friday. 24800 block of Camino Villa.
