Pot Purchaser Punched, and Other Cop Calls

A selection of calls from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department from July 22-26.

A punch to the face prompted a Sunday night call to police by someone  who identified himself as a medical marijuana patient who had just purchased cannabis from a clinic near El Toro Road and Raymond Way.

The pot purchaser said two men and a woman punched him in the face in an attempt to rob him of his recently acquired marijuana.

But units responding to the report of a robbery in progress were unable to locate any of the parties involved, according to Lt. Mike Peters of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
