Resident Reports Suspicious Truck Near Scene of Crime

The following is a selection of calls from Lake Forest to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from March 29 to April 1.

A caller told police that the driver of a white Ford truck was shining a flashlight on parked vehicles in the 25100 block of Rivendell Drive after he pulled into the same cul-de-sac where a woman was tied up and beaten several months ago. 

The caller also said a vehicle has been casing the neighborhood lately.

The call came in around 12:12 a.m. Thursday.

Disturbance. 12:10 p.m. Friday. 25000 block of Front Street. A caller said four men were smoking marijuana in front of the U-Haul store.

Traffic stop. 8:31 a.m. Friday. Jeronimo Road and El Toro Road. A 50-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Disturbance. midnight Friday. 21400 block of Mcintosh Lane.  A girl said her father beat her and that she was bleeding.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 6:00 p.m. Thursday. El Toro Road and Raymond Way. A caller said a man with a shaved head, driving a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer, asked him for money to buy marijuana.

Traffic stop. 2:48 p.m. Thursday. Lake Forest Drive and Country Glen. A 50-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail with no bail posted.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:49 a.m. Thursday. 26100 block of Serrano Court. A caller asked sheriff's deputies to check on the unit below hers because marijuana smoke was getting into her home.

Traffic stop. 8:34 a.m. Thursday. Jeronimo Road and Cherry Avenue. A 26-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was released on his own recognizance.

Traffic accident—injuries. 12:07 a.m. Thursday. El Toro Road and Trabuco Road. Police responding to a traffic accident arrested a 30-year-old chef and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was released after he posted bail.

Battery. 9:22 p.m. Wednesday. 25400 block of Mina Court.  A woman said a man punched her on the face before driving off in a white Volkswagen Jetta.

Assault report. 9:06 p.m. Wednesday. 24200 block of Bark Street.  The father of a boy said men attacked his son on his way home from school.

Pedestrian check. 7:22 p.m. Wednesday. Raymond Way and El Toro Road. Police arrested a 28-year-old man, who works as a tattoo artist, during a pedestrian check and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $15,000 bail.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 2:19 p.m. Wednesday. 22600 block of Dunkenfield Circle.  A resident reported the driver of a silver Dodge Durango after he was parked for more than 30 minutes on the wrong side of the road.

Cruelty to animals. 7:19 p.m. Tuesday. 25200 block of Vis Fusco. A caller asked sheriff's deputies to check on two dogs under a tonneau cover of a parked silver Toyota truck after the caller confronted the owner, who drove off.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 2:13 p.m. Tuesday. 22800 block of Leo Lane. A caller said two men approached his mother and took her jewelry as she was walking on Lake Forest Drive.
