Sheriff’s Blotter: This Alcohol Had A Real Kick

Also, a man intentionally throws a bottle at a liquor store, and a man with a parrot wanders around.

An informant, worried about his 14-year-old sister, contacted the Orange County Sheriff's Department on Friday night.

According to the blotter of the OCSD, the informant reported his sister was under the influence of alcohol and acting out violently by kicking other family members. The girl could be heard crying hysterically in the background, according to the dispatcher.

The call came from the 23200 block of Orange Avenue

Assistance from the Orange County Fire Authority was refused.

An informant calling from a liquor store reported that a man threw a bottle at him and left without paying. That man was later arrested for defrauding an innkeeper.

The call was made Friday, 2:19 p.m., from Trabuco Road and Bake Parkway.

Maybe he was a pirate?

An informant called to report a suspicious older man of identity theft. The suspect was shabbily dressed. And he had a white parrot on his shoulder. He stared at te informant, according to the witness, who though the man was following her.

The man, and the parrot, wandered away down Blazewood walking toward Verano.

The call was made Thursday at 5:43 p.m.

The following is a summary report of calls from Lake Forest to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Feb. 14-16.

Suspicious person or circumstances, Saturday, 8:05 p.m., 26300 block of Town Centre Drive. An informant reported that a female was sitting in front of the Sonterra Apartment complex for six hours and that she might have been drunk.

Traffic accident—unknown injuries, Saturday, 6:09 p.m., Regency Lane and Osterman Road. An informant reported that a white truck crashed into a skateboarder. The victim was taken to Mission Hospital.

Battery Saturday, 3:36 p.m., 23700 block of El Toro Road. A caller reported that another female customer had committed battery against her. It was later reported that they had bumped into each other, therefore there was no crime.

Assist outside agency Saturday, 10:52 a.m., 19400 block of Rue De Valore. A female called 9-1-1 and said she was trying to overdose on pills and alcohol because of the recent death of her sister.

Disturbance Friday, 5:11 p.m., 23100 block of La Vaca Street. A caller’s autistic son was reportedly having a breakdown and was hitting and biting himself. The Orange County Fire Authority was called to assist the situation.

Citizen assist Friday, 11:33 a.m., 25500 block of Commercentre Drive. An informant’s work truck was stolen that morning and then towed after it was dumped. The informant requested to speak to an officer to document that the vehicle was not in his possession in case something happened to the truck.

Disturbance Friday, 6:37 a.m., 26500 block of Normandale Drive. A caller reported that his daughter and her boyfriend beat him up, stealing his money and medication.

Suspicious person or circumstance Friday, 1:21 a.m., 21500 block of Calle Otono. A caller said that unknown subjects kept ringing the doorbell but would not answer when the informant asked who was there.

Suspicious person or circumstance Thursday, 6:32 p.m., Lake Forest Drive and Canada Road. An informant was driving down Lake Forest Drive and unknown subjects shot at the informant’s vehicle with a BB gun, somewhere between Canada and Trabuco.

Suspicious person or circumstance Thursday, 5:36 p.m., 20700 block of El Toro Road. A suspicious informant reported that a person known in the area for “playing tricks” was hiding in her closet. It was determined later the informant was possibly hallucinating.

Suspicious person in vehicle Thursday, 2:49 p.m., Bienvenu Drive and Enfilade Avenue. An informant stated that a blue or gray conversion van was driving around the neighborhood and its occupants were asking questions about the school in the area.

Keep the peace Thursday, 2:32 p.m., 24300 block of Ontario Lane. An informant called in to talk to a deputy about a roommate who had intruded on other bedrooms in the unit and was placing his things throughout the house.

Disturbance Thursday, 12:08 p.m., 22000 block of Midcrest Drive. A caller reported 12 juveniles who built a skateboard/bicycle ramp in undeveloped city property and requested that the sheriff deputies call the city to remove the ramp if the juveniles did not remove it themselves.
