A two-car wreck on the northbound 5 Freeway tied up traffic for nearly an hour Saturday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at El Toro Road shortly before 4 p.m. and cleared it at 4:44 p.m. Investigators were still working the scene after the road reopened.
The carpool lane along with the offramp and lanes 3, 4, 5 and 6 were closed for more than 30 minutes following a noninjury crash between two black SUVs.
According to the CHP incident log, a black SUV was stopped on the freeway after it was struck by a BMW SUV.
The driver of the BMW was texting when the accident occurred, a witness reported.
