The 'Prophet' Returns, and Other Cop Calls

A selection of calls from Lake Forest to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Dec. 10 to 14.

Abandoned vehicle 9:46 a.m., Tuesday, 25900 block of Chapel Hill Drive. The caller said a red Chevy has been parked across the street for more than eight days.

Illegal parked vehicle 9:14 a.m., Tuesday, 23100 block La Vaca Street. The caller said his neighbor's car just got a street sweeping ticket. The neighbor got mad, took the ticket off and moved his car. The caller wants him ticketed again.

Suspicious person/circumstances 2:35 a.m., Tuesday, 23700 block of El Toro Road. The caller said "The Prophet"—a man with dreads, dark-colored coat and high boots—is back on the property and the caller wants him escorted off the property. Deputies have dealt with the man many times, and he is known to wear body armor.

Disturbance 12:15 a.m., Tuesday, 21400 block of Moresby Way. The caller reported a loud TV that is known to be on until 1 or 2. It's an ongoing issue.

Illegal parked vehicle 8:27 a.m., Friday, 19200 block of Jasper Hill Road. The caller said a motor home was parked in the area for a week.

Unknown trouble 7:26 a.m., Friday, Camino Villa/Camino Rayo. The caller could hear a woman yelling and requested a patrol check for a dark car parked behind a white van. The caller said the van windows still had ice on them and were tinted. 

Suspicious person/circumstances 3:32 a.m., Friday, 22800 block of Bonita Lane. The caller reported people walking on Bonita. The caller said they were engaging in gang activity and drug use. The caller hadn't seen it but was positive that that's what was going on.

911 hang-up 3:10 a.m., Friday, 23500 block of Rockfield Boulevard. The caller said he didn't call and wanted nothing done. A second caller said three people were beating somebody up.

Citizen assist 2:41 a.m., Friday, 24900 block of Muirlands Boulevard. The caller said a female neighbor kepts trying to get into his mobile home. The caller said she had mental problems and kept trying to get into his place. She just returned to her mobile home after trying his door.

Welfare check 1:30 a.m. Friday, 25600 block of Fernbank. The caller, who sounded drunk, said her husband was being abusive and wanted to kick her out. When asked for her address, she said to cancel the call.
