Three Domestic Disturbance Arrests in One Weekend

The following is a selection of calls from Lake Forest to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Feb. 18 to Feb. 22.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend and a 2-month-old child after police responded to a call at 1:34 a.m. Monday from the 26500 block of Normandale Drive, said Lt. Ted Boyne. He is being held in custody at the Central Men’s Jail on $100,000 bail.

A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of hitting his wife after police investigated a 911 hang-up that happened at 8:45 p.m. Sunday on the 28600 block of Malabar road, Boyne said. The man is being held in custody at the Central Men's Jail on $500 bail.

A 34-year-old man was arrested following a family-dispute disturbance call that came in at 7:35 p.m. Sunday from the 23200 block of Orange Avenue, according to police records.

Patrol check. 11:03 a.m. Tuesday. El Toro Road and Rockfield Boulevard. Someone reported four day laborers harassing customers in front of Home Depot.

Illegal parked vehicle. 9:47 p.m. Monday. Rumble Drive and Rada Avenue. A caller said vehicles were blocking different segments of the sidewalk, causing children to walk in the road. One of the children was nearly hit by the caller's car, the caller said.

Disturbance. 8:50 p.m. Monday. Dune Mear Road and Gowdy Avenue. Police responded to a call about a caregiver at an elder-care home who was reported drunk on the job.

Disturbance. 5:07 p.m. Monday. Cherry Avenue and Trabuco Road. A caller said six or seven juveniles were vandalizing park benches with markers and playing loud music near the soccer team.

Welfare check. 4:10 p.m. Monday. 21600 Block of Canada Road. A caller requested police check on her son, saying he had been mixing Xanax with Vicodin and acting out because of it. The caller was at work and was scared to come home because she thought there might be a conflict. She originally gave her son a 30-day notice via certified mail to move out, but he wouldn't leave, she said. She was also concerned that if the son left he would try to take her Chihuahua.

Suspicious persons/circumstances. 12:56 p.m. Monday. Four boys were smoking marijuana by the spa in the Spring Lakes apartment complex, according to a caller.

Traffic accident—unknown injuries. 12:29 a.m. Monday. Toledo Way and Lake Forest Drive. A 21-year-old man was arrested after a traffic accident and is in custody at the Central Men’s Jail on $100,000 bail.

Burglary report. 11:28 a.m. Monday. 26500 block of Normandale Drive.

Disturbance. 7:23 p.m. Sunday. 26500 block of Normandale Drive. A 34-year-old man who works a s a carpet cleaner was arrested and is being held in custody at the Central Men’s Jail on $10,000 bail.

Assault. 2:12 a.m. Sunday. 22000 block of Rimhurst Drive. A 30-year-old man and was released from the Intake Release Center after posting undisclosed bail.

Prowler. 2:18 a.m. Sunday. 24900 block of Muirlands Boulevard.

Shots heard. 9:10 p.m. Saturday. 23800 block of Landisview Avenue.

Drunken driving. 3:27 p.m. Saturday. Bake Parkway and Calle Entrada. A 35-year-old man was arrested, cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Burglary alarm—audible. 3:09 a.m. Saturday. 23600 block of El Toro Road.

Traffic stop. 10:18 p.m. Friday. Ridge Route Drive and Jeronimo Road. A 52-year-old man who works in sales was arrested during a traffic stop and was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Burglary alarm-audible. 7:33 p.m. Friday. 24900 block of Avenida Veraneo.

Vandalism report. 11:43 a.m. Friday. 22900 block of Moonstone Lane.
