The California Highway Patrol today investigated a crash that killed the driver of a truck that veered off a San Diego (405) Freeway exit in Irvine and struck a tree.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Friday on the Culver Drive offramp from the southbound side of the freeway, according to the Orange County coroner's office.
The victim's name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
