Nude Martial Arts Fighter Arrested in Mission Viejo Church

Former UFC fighter Jason "Mayhem" Miller is accused of living up to his nickname, spraying the building's interior with a fire extinguisher and smashing glass.

A former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter was found nude on the couch of early Monday and arrested on suspicion of burglary, officials said.

Jason "Mayhem" Miller, 31, was being held at Central Jail on $20,000 bail.

When a pastor entered the Mission Viejo church this morning, he found scattered books and CDs, broken picture frames and fire extinguisher dust throughout the building's first floor, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

When deputies arrived and went upstairs, they found Miller nude on the couch, along with more fire extinguisher dust, Amormino said.

Authorities believe Miller entered the church through a broken window that had been boarded up over the weekend.

It was unclear why Miller was naked or whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Amormino said.

Miller is undergoing a medical evaluation, he said.

Miller had a falling-out with the UFC and its president, Dana White. On Saturday, the following comment was sent through Miller's Twitter account: "Kill yourself @danawhite we are all begging you." Also: "Since you never allowed me to officially retire, I am now a Warrior for Peace and Ultimate Fighter for Justice."

Miller trains at Reign Training Center in Lake Forest, according to a May 2012 interview.

A phone message left with Mission Hills Pastor Doug Boyd was not immediately returned.

I agree with neighbour.... I criticized the Patch, earlier this year, for lauding the porn stars and other 'celebrities' who do not present the role models our schools or families should be seeking. Certainly UFC/MMA falls into that same category; and since this dude was doing 'both' (getting nude and fighting 'mean') he is a poster-child for all that is wrong. I don't want to hear about him; see him; or hear about his medals, where he trains or anything....just a big 'poster' "stay away from this dude".

If Miller is hitting Women, breaking into churches, telling people they should just kill themselfs(@danawhite), he has drug, mental, emotional issues and should not be on the streets or anywhere else except a mental hospital. He is just a washed up DORK.

This whole deal saddens me. We come to this life with potential to do something for good. Beating up folks and calling it entertainment or sport without regard to the serious injures inflicted just to win seems borderline insanity. With bullies running the campus in our schools and kids and people becoming more and more aggressive is it any wonder a few wing nuts get in these arenas and become psychotic. This man needs help and not the kind of nasty comments by those who post. The language and the comments are laced with vulgarity and are indicative of the people who enjoy the mayhem of this sport. I had the opportunity to talk with Tony Atlas a great former professional boxer and trainer about the MMA and he wasn't so positive about it. Boxing is also a brutal sport, but in the long run the refs monitor the fight to a greater degree. The MMA is getting a bad rap here, but maybe it is deserved. I'd like to see many of these guys in 20 years from now, look at the old boxers...this sport doesn't do anyone any favors, but it is a cash industry and cash is king.

I agree with Cathy that he needs help, but I am not sure that he knows it . As long as he keeps getting a free ride for his bad actions he is not going to volunteer himself to get help. I personally know a few fighters both active and retired , their behavior make any parent proud so it is not what you do but who you are . I agree that the industry use these people but that is the choice that they made . They use the industry for money and fame too. The profession that you chose shouldn't excuse you for your bad actions.
