12 Apply to Fill Vacant Council Seat

A few familiar names are included in the list of applicants to replace Peter Herzog as a Lake Forest City Council member.

A dozen registered voters in Lake Forest have decided to try to be a City Council member. 

The deadline for applying for the seat vacated by Peter Herzog was Wednesday. Eight men and four women will try to get at least three votes from the four sitting members of the council. 

Included in the group are former councilwoman Marcia Rudolph, current planning commissioner Andrew Hamilton, and former planning commissioner Terry Anderson.

Anderson another candidate, Jim Gardner, ran for the council seat in 2012; they finished third and fourth, respectively, and Rudolph finished fifth.
