220+ Businesses Ready For Shop and Dine Week
From Aug. 12 to Aug. 19 local businesses are encouraging local shopping by offering deep discounts on goods and services. Look for coupon booklet coming in the mail.
More than 220 Lake Forest businesses will offer deals on food, clothing and other items during this year's Shop and Dine Lake Forest Week.
From Aug. 12 through Aug. 19, scores of local businesses are offering deep discounts to encourage residents to shop in town.
Lake Forest residents should see a pamphlet with coupons from each business—the Passport to Savings, as the week is themed—delivered in the mail the week of Aug. 6.

The week of discounts will kick off Aug. 12 with Taste of Lake Forest, the city's first-ever food sampling event.
From noon to 3 p.m. in the Food Festival area of the Foothill Ranch Towne Centre shopping center on Bake Parkway and Towne Centre Drive, more than 20 local restaurants will offer samples. (See the list of restaurants to the right in the photo box.)

For $5, attendees can sample each restaurant's offerings and vote for their top choice.
Live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and an appearance by former American Idol contestant Ace Young are among the other activities on tap for the three-hour kick off.
A raffle will also take place, with prizes including a 40” Vizio TV, a Kindle Fire, 1 -year membership to 24 Fitness, Oakley eyewear and more.
Throughout the week, participants can rack up raffle tickets by getting the Passport to Savings booklet stamped at businesses participating in Shop and Dine.
Redeem each stamp for a raffle ticket at another community celebration at the end of Shop and Dine Week. From noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 19 in the Orchard shopping center on El Toro Road and Rockfield Boulevard, raffles for those with stamped booklets will take place.
Prizes include a 42” LED Panasonic TV, $250 Southwest gift card, $100 Fresh & Easy gift cards, 1 year memberships to LA Fitness and Crunch Fitness, restaurant gift cards, and more. Former American Idol contestant Didi Benami and Playlist 92.7 FM will both make an appearance at the event.
