85 New Homes Under Consideration

The Pinnacle at Serrano Highlands, a new development, comes before Lake Forest's Planning Commission on Thursday.

Plans for an 85-home community on 24.6 acres of undeveloped land in central Lake Forest are coming before a city commission Thursday evening.

The Pinnacle at Serrano Highlands, as the project is called, is one of seven developments in the city's Opportunities Study Area—a massive swath of land under the former El Toro Marine Corps base flight path, which was rezoned to allow residential and public uses.

The Pinnacle project would include three private parks as well as private streets. The project site is located north and east of the Peachwood/Tamarisk street intersection, near the Serrano Highlands complex.

Plan configurations range from three to five bedrooms with three to four bathrooms. The maximum height for the homes in the project would be 35 feet.

The stretch of Peachwood leading up to Palmwood Drive and Tamarisk Street would be tapered as part of the project, as a transition between the roadway and the development's entrance.

The city's Planning Commission will review the project Thursday and forward a recommendation to the City Council.

The commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in , 25550 Commercentre Drive.
