“I’m pleased to join the Republican Leadership team and to have the opportunity to work closer with Connie and Curt,” Wagner said in a written statement about the appointment. "They lead a very talented Republican Caucus determined to bring jobs to California and to grow our economy. Anything I can do to help achieve those goals is good for my District and good for California."

A practicing attorney, Wagner is vice chair of the Assembly Judiciary Committee and a member of the Aging and Long Term Care, Appropriations, Budget and Education committees.

“Don’s skills as an accomplished attorney and advocate make him well suited for his new role as Deputy Republican Floor Manager,” Conway said. “He has fought hard to ensure that practical solutions are heard in the Assembly, and I know he will do an excellent job advocating for Republican ideas during legislative debate.”

Wagner represents the 70th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes the Orange County communities of Irvine, Lake Forest, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Tustin and surrounding areas.
