Baseball Facility, Sun & Sail Chimney on Commission Agenda

The city's Planning Commission convenes for its first May meeting 7 p.m. Thursday.

A sports training company is interested in using an industrial building in Lake Forest for private baseball and softball lessons.

The business, Primus Sports Performance, plans to use the facility at 20451 James Bay Circle to train athletes from 12 to 18 years of age who play on competitive softball and baseball teams.

Primus Sports would provide lessons for individuals and team training sessions by appointment only, seven days a week.

Also on the commission's agenda is a proposal to raise by four feet a faux chimney on the Sun & Sail Club Homeowner's Association building that currently encloses wireless antennas.

The AT&T request to replace the current antennas with taller ones would raise the chimney to a height of 48 feet and 5 inches.

According to AT&T, the modification would improve cell service in the immediate area.

The commission meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
