Council Set For Short July 4th Eve Meeting

Only a few items are on the agenda for the July 3 meeting of the Lake Forest City Council.

It looks to be a relatively short meeting for the Lake Forest City Council on the night before Independence Day, with only three discussion items on the agenda.

It's especially unlikely the meeting will run long as the council members and many city staffers will be participants in the city's 21st annual .

On the agenda for the council are plans to update local implementation guidelines for the California Environmental Quality Act.

Council members will also select delegates to send to the League of California Cities conference in September.

Officials also may formally declare opposition to Assembly Bill 1484, which would, among other actions, expands the authority of the state Department of Finance with regard to the dissolution of redevelopment agencies.
