Gov. Jerry Brown Being Treated for Prostate Cancer

The California governor is currently undergoing treatment, according to his office.

California Gov. Jerry Brown is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, his office announced Wednesday.

Dr. Eric Small, Brown's oncologist at UC San Francisco, said the cancer was in its early stage.

“Fortunately, this is early stage localized prostate cancer, which is being treated with a short course of conventional radiotherapy," Small said. "The prognosis is excellent, and there are not expected to be any significant side effects.”

The Governor's office said Brown continues to work a full schedule while being treated. His treatment is expected to be complete by the week of Jan. 7.

Brown previously had skin cancer removed from his nose in April 2011.

Brown, 74, is serving his third term as governor of California. He served two terms from 1975 to 1983.

No other information was immediately available.

Number III, Arnold Kennedy was a POS! That scum should have had a (D) after his name. Democracy? That's how Democracy works? LMFAO! In what countries does Democracy work? You are more ignorant than I thought. But thanks for the laughs! There was more voter fraud in this election than any other election. And when Obama attempts to get rid of term limits, successfully or not, another Dem will get voted in. Even if she watched 4 die in Benghazi! You obviously have no idea what propaganda means. San Diego and the state is deep in it. Democracy? LOL!

Sure, now that he has been discredited you want to disown him. When he was in office he was a star in the Republican party and some where looking for a way to change the rules so that he could run for President. You can keep him.

Jimmy Almond 10:10 pm on Thursday, December 20, 2012 "And when Obama attempts to get rid of term limits, successfully or not" . . You are showing your ignorance again. Presidential term limits are not set by law. They are set by the 22nd amendment to the Constitution. Do you actually foresee Obama trying to get Congress to pass another amendment and then getting the states to ratify it, all before the next election cycle?

Jimmy Almond 11:03 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2012 "Voter fraud: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2960108/posts" . . This is a list of articles, and no, I am not going to read everyone. So I chose one to discuss: http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/22-signs-that-voter-fraud-is-wildly-out-of-control-and-the-election-was-a-sham First, I'll note that this page was filled with advertisements for Survival Guides and supplies, an EMP survival guide, a guide for what to do in case of economic collapse and a bunch of devises that will piss off your power company (none of which appeared to involve solar power - which I can personally attest really does piss off your power company). I believe that this gives you a clue of the editorial direction of the article. Now to the proof of voter fraud: "#1 According to the Election Protection Coalition, voters across the United States reported more than 70,000 voting problems by 5 PM Eastern time on election day." Big note, this is a combined total of complaints. Notice that they didn't specify what type of complaints these included. Are we to believe that none of them were Obama voters? This is sort of like when Conservatives complain that the majority of Americans are against Obamacare, but leave out the part that their numbers include Liberals who wanted a single payer solution. (continued...)
Carl Petersen III December 23, 2012 at 04:04 PM
(...continued) #2 There were 59 voting divisions in the city of Philadelphia where Mitt Romney did not receive a single vote. In those voting divisions, the combined vote total was 19,605 for Barack Obama and 0 for Mitt Romney. What is a voting division? If 59 of them totaled less than 20,000 it is not a precinct. #4 According to WND, one poll watcher in Pennsylvania actually claims that he witnessed voting machine software repeatedly switch votes from Mitt Romney to Barack Obama… Am I supposed to believe that a software developer went through the trouble of tampering with the election results and allowed his work to be that transparent. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but weren't the liberals the one who pushed for some kind of paper trail in the new electronic voting machines and their efforts were rejected by the Bush administration? #5 Somehow Mitt Romney won 55 out of the 67 counties in the state of Pennsylvania and still managed to lose the entire state by a wide margin because of the absurd vote totals that Obama ran up in the urban areas. Ummm, did you see the maps that CNN had up on election day. If you show the results by county, the United States looks almost completely red. However, if you magnify the population centers the vote turns blue. Pennsylvania has been described as Philiadelpia in the East, Pittsburgh in the West and Arkansas in the middle. High population density equals more votes. (continued...)
Carl Petersen III December 23, 2012 at 04:21 PM
(...continued) Let's assume that all of these allegations were true and ALL of the voter fraud was in Obama's benefit (funny, I didn't see the Republican tied organization that was caught throwing away Democratic registrations on the list), why didn't Romney fight the results? He certainly has the economic resources. He ran a national campaign that trashed the President, so it wasn't like he was scared of personal repercussions. There were many people who expected a long election night and a very close race. Yet, Fox news called the election soon after California's polls had closed and Romney called Obama to congratulate him later that night. Would these two things have happened if the internal polls were not confirming what the official results were saying? A healthy amount of skepticism is good for a Democracy. Outright paranoia should be looked at by a doctor!

Forget the Holy Land, the next crusades will be in America.
Jimmy Almond December 23, 2012 at 05:08 PM
Carl, I will give you credit for at least reading some of the links. But you're response is typical for a liberal. Fighting voter fraud is futile - it's a waste of resources, time consuming and difficult to prove, especially when the left has Obama in their pockets. What do you think Holder would do with this? Exactly! Like I said, Obama will do whatever he wants when he wants. You are also going to be a part of this accident that you and yours helped to create. If you don't think the Muslims will take over the USA within the next 20 years, you have not done your home work. You must have missed the interview with an Imam in San Diego a few years ago? Why haven't you done any research on Obama? Or have you, and you like what you've discovered? The Kenyan born POTUS just had to get in to get his 2nd term. This is when it will get real ugly. Unemployment rate will go up, job creation, housing market, stock markets, will all plummet! 21 trillion in debt by 2016. You will lose just like the rest of us for your ignorance about what's coming. You can thank all the liberals and yourself for it. Dressing up in Muslim garb won't save you either. Paranoid? Nope! Just armed and ready! The 2nd amendment assures this! Good luck!
Jimmy Almond December 23, 2012 at 06:35 PM
Number III, Keep dreaming! You will go down in history as a fool! Liberalism is a mental disease! you are living proof of that. You and all the other dweebs in Cali who voted in this Muslim and Moon Beam.

Curlee, Thanks for getting involved in the discussion, Mr helper. I remember your inane comments from the past. You're another left wing nut job like Number III. You two idiots have this thing called the internet at your convenience, but don't know how to use it. California, your wonderful BLUE STATE, is a WELFARE BANKRUPT STATE thanks to people like you. Moon beam is nothing but a FAILURE - in Oakland and in San Diego. The cancer isn't in the prostate - it's the liberal mentality that you can spend your state into oblivion without repercusion. Curlee, you are a laughable subject on the Patch - always were, always will be. Number III, keep fantasizing about the wonderful bankrupt state of Cali. It will NEVER recover! It will continue to eat itself up by caring for illegals, Govt assisted housing, welfare, food stamps, cradle to grave care .And you two bleeding heart putz' have big smiles on your faces. You two idiots are the slime that permeates the state. The cancer is the blue. It's too bad we can't cut it out, but you liberals think everything is just fine. LMAO at you two fools. You will sink with the rest of us. And btw, Number III, I'm not a prepper and don't fall for bull chit like 12-21-12 Mayan end of times. Never have, never will. But just try to take my belongings and you've got a fight. You two hillbillies are nothing more than ignorant liberals which have ruined the state and the country. Number III - the country is red. Can you say seceed?
Jimmy Almond December 24, 2012 at 05:21 PM
Number III, tell me, Mr All knowing, what great accomplishments has Moon Beam done for the state?
Carl Petersen III December 24, 2012 at 05:52 PM
Jimmy Almond 9:15 am on Monday, December 24, 2012 "Number III - the country is red. Can you say seceed?" . . Considering that the blue states are supporting the red states, succession seems to be in the blue states best interest. We get the world financial capital of New York, the world entertainment capital of California and Disneyworld and you get Mississippi. Sounds like a plan.

Jimmy Almond 9:21 am on Monday, December 24, 2012 "Number III, tell me, Mr All knowing, what great accomplishments has Moon Beam done for the state?" . . Who is to say that I am a backer of the current Governor? I didn't even vote for him in the primaries. My only point has been, from the beginning, that you can't be the "worst Governor this state has ever had" and be elected three times. It is intellectually dishonest.
Jimmy Almond December 24, 2012 at 06:12 PM
Number III, blue states vote for liberals. End of story. Liberals own the media. Obama owns the CNN media. The liberals will lead us all to hell. Just spend without accountability. That's liberalism. Give away the bank. Tax the middle class to death to support Mexi-California. Press 1 for Spanish, press 2 for English. Coming to a blue state near you. Thanks, liberals. What a joke this state is and what a joke the Gov is.
Jimmy Almond December 24, 2012 at 08:22 PM
