July 4 Parade Needs a Logo

The winner of Lake Forest's design contest will be a parade VIP.

The city of Lake Forest is holding a design contest to find the best logo for this year's Fourth of July parade.

This year’s theme is “Star Spangled Salute.”

Designs should be sent in a high-resolution JPEG file to rrivera@lakeforestca.gov. The winner of the logo contest will have his or her logo featured on all the parade advertising and will also be part of the parade as a VIP.

The entry deadline is Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. For more information, contact Ron Rivera at 949-461-3457 or rrivera@lakeforestca.gov.

Why not use that Gadsen flag design of the coiled rattlesnake with the caption underneath of "Don't tread on me"? It's military related and was designed by American patriots. Seems apropo for July 4th. The military personnel in the parade aren't going to be carrying assault rifles in the parade with magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, are they? I wouldn't want the democrats to call the swat team out on them. heh. :^)
