Last Day to Buy Tickets to City's 20th Anniversary Party

Oakley in Foothill Ranch is hosting a party marking two decades of cityhood for Lake Forest on Saturday.

As of late Wednesday, fewer than 20 of the 200 tickets to the city's remained. (Update: The city's site as of Thursday morning shows 42 remaining.)

Tickets sales for the party, taking place Saturday evening at Oakley headquarters in Foothill Ranch, will end 4 p.m. Thursday, or sooner if the event sells out.

Until then, tickets are available online or during business hours at the reception desk on the second floor of , at 25550 Commercentre Dr.

A committee of Lake Forest residents worked with city staffers to put together the event.

The aniversary party is meant to be a community celebration, said event chair Mary Visconte.

"Our city has grown so much in 20 years, yet has maintained a hometown feeling," Visconte said. "It’s a great city to live, work and play in."

Cost is $50 per ticket, which includes valet parking and dinner catered by . Attire is business/cocktail.

The Saturday evening event kicks off at 6 p.m. at 1 Icon in Foothill Ranch. 

Cocktail hour is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dinner and entertainment will be held outdoors, beginning at 8 p.m., under the stars.

Music will be provided by the Meloney Collins Jazz Quintet and surprise guests. After dinner, a DJ will spin '80 music.

The event is a culmination of the city's year of celebratory events marking the completion of its second decade of cityhood.
