Musick Jail Expansion Plan Gets Go-Ahead

More than 500 beds are expected to be added to the jail, which sits in an unincorporated area near Lake Forest.

Plans to add 512 beds to the James A. Musick Facility, a minimum security jail in an unincorporated area near Lake Forest, got a vote of approval Tuesday from county supervisors.

According to the Orange County Register, supervisors gave county Sheriff Sandra Hutchens the go-ahead to apply for a $100-million state grant to bolster the controversial expansion.
