The annual "Meet the Mayor" event, hosted by the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce, is less than a week away.

What have you always wanted to know about Lake Forest?

As you drive through town, have you thought: "I wish I could tell the mayor exactly what I think" about your pet concern, whether it be traffic, crime or ?

Whether you want to learn or to teach, the mayor will be yours for a full three hours Wednesday at the city's annual "Meet the Mayor/State of the City" event.

Hosted by the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce, the gathering gives the public a chance to meet and chat with the , a position currently held by .

Guests from other communities are welcome to attend in addition to Lake Forest residents, according to organizers.

From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the on Rockfield Boulevard, McCullough will mingle with guests, and will deliver a "State of the City" address.

Tickets for the event are available on the Chamber of Commerce's website. Cost is $25 for chamber members and $35 for everyone else.
