Public Has 30 Days To Comment On Housing Proposal

A new housing development would bring 85 new single-family homes to Lake Forest.

For the next month, the public has the chance to share thoughts about a new housing development proposed for central Lake Forest.

Residents have until 5 p.m. April 20 to deliver their written opinion of the development, known as the Pinnacle at Serrano Highlands, to City Hall through snail mail, email or hand delivery.

The project site is a swath of undeveloped acreage, bordered by open space and the Pacific Vista Business Center office park to the north, undeveloped property owned by the Irvine Ranch Water District to the east, the Willow Glen Condominiums to the south, and Tamarisk Park to the west.

Homes would be two or three stories tall; neighborhood parks are included in the proposal.

Documents describing the project's scope—including a statement declaring that its construction would have little environmental impact—are available for public review.

The project is tentatively scheduled to come before the Planning Commission in May. If the commission agrees that the project is unlikely to have environmental impacts, it can move ahead without undergoing an extensive environmental review.

Copies of the study are also available at , in the Development Services Department or City Clerk’s office, and at the Foothill Ranch and El Toro branch libraries.

Comments can be mailed to , delivered in person during business hours, or emailed to city planner Ron Santos at rsantos@lakeforestca.gov.
