Many businesses have begun dabbling in social media, but between Facebook and Pinterest the Internet landscape can be a bit overwhelming.
To make it simpler, the city of Lake Forest and SCORE are offering a free seminar where business owners can learn how to align social media activity with business goals.
From 5 to 8 p.m. April 18, the workshop at Lake Forest City Hall, 25550 Commercentre Drive, will provide business owners with tips to leverage social media and digital marketing, as well as measure the success of their Internet marketing.
Attendees will learn the key elements of a strong online presence, ways to build a consistent multi-channel brand, and how to utilize search engine optimization, affiliate marketing and social networking.
Presenter Nader Nemati, who has more than 20 years of experience in information technology, sales, operations and management with Fortune 500 companies such as Honeywell, Sears & Roebuck, and AlliedSignal, will lead the workshop.
Attendees will also learn the meaning of the acronyms SEO, CTR, PPC, CPM mean and how social networking (Twitter, Facebook) and Web 2.0 tools (blogs, podcasts) can help grow and market a business.
The event is free but seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served. To get a seat, RSVP with the city's Economic Development Department at economicdevelopment@lakeforestca.gov or (949) 461-3567.
