El Toro Challenges CUSD to Canned Food Competition

Starting Monday, the high school is gathering cans of food for its annual collection.

El Toro High School can collect more cans of food in two school weeks than all of Capistrano Unified School District's high schools put together.

That's the declaration the campus recently sent to the nearby school district, challenging rival schools to up their charitable efforts in a bid for local bragging rights.

El Toro High's goal is 55,000 cans, but the hope is to top  and push it to victory over the CUSD campuses.
