PHOTOS: Legos Train the Next Generation of Engineers

Kids, with a little instruction, build self-powered tanks and other contraptions to learn the principles of engineering.

With day camp programs set up in Lake Forest and all over Orange County, Play-Well TEKnologies aims to help create the next generation of engineers through mechanized Lego blocks and a little imagination.

The week-long programs teach kids the principles of engineering through building Jedi tanks and other Lego projects that run under their own power. Kids have to set up the gears and motors and hook up batteries to build their Lego devices.

The slideshow was shot at the Play-Well program in Dana Point Wednesday, but visit the educational company's site for a location nearest you.
