Getting to know Alyson Doherty, the center of attention on the El Toro girls basketball team.
El Toro High's varsity girls basketball team is enjoying a tremendous season with an overall record of 15-6 and a league mark of 3-1. One of the reasons for the Lady Chargers' success is center/forward Alyson Doherty who has been playing basketball since the third grade. The 6-foot-2 junior is hoping to become a physical therapist.
Doherty and the Lady Chargers will be in South Coast League action on Thursday night at Mission Viejo High and then again Jan. 24 at home against San Clemente on Monday.
