Heroes Park was overrun Saturday with Saddleback Little League teams who held a series of games to thank the league's sponsors.

"Sponsor Day" involved a number of local businesses, representatives from Lake Forest Police Services and, of course, baseball.

The Little League's Challenger team, which is made up of ball players with mental or physical disabilities, kicked off the day by reciting the Little League pledge and yelling "play ball!"

Many of the players had "buddies" from other Little League teams helping them out as they competed in the sunshine.
