Coffeehouse Offers Bagels For Blood
The American Red Cross is running a blood drive Thursday in the parking lot of Bagels & Brew in Lake Forest.
in Lake Forest is generally a bustling spot, but customers should expect more foot traffic than usual Thursday as the coffeehouse hosts a community blood drive.
An American Red Cross bus will be parked outside the coffee shop at 21771 Lake Forest Drive, Suite 100, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the blood drive.
An an incentive, Bagels & Brew will give each donor a coupon for a dozen free bagels. Participants will also get a free mini-bowl from Flame Broiler and the chance to enter a "Pick a Trip" drawing for a free vacation to one of five locations.

Organizers say appointments are not required, but are recommended to minimize wait time.
Donors must be at least 17 years old and bring identification.
