Skateboarding for a Cause

Etnies Skatepark hosts event today to raise money for Autism Speaks.

Pro skateboarders are zooming around Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest today to compete for cash prizes and raise money for an autism charity.

Skate for a Cause, which runs till 5 p.m., is sponsored by the Sheckler Foundation, with proceeds going to Autism Speaks.

Admission is free, but bleacher and VIP seats for better views cost $20 to $50.

Four best-trick contests and a carnival village will be featured at the benefit. Skaters include Ryan Sheckler, Sasha Steinhorst and Rob Dyrdek.

Last year's Skate for a Cause event raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
