Head's Up Thru Dec. 15: Worthwhile Events This Week

A look at local activities and opportunities that could be of interest to Lake Forest-area residents.

By Martin Henderson

A look at what's going down and coming up for Lake Forest and residents of the surrounding area.

• One of the most closely watched city council meetings in Lake Forest history figures to take place Tuesday, 5:30 p.m., when the four sitting members begin interviewing applicants for the remaining seat on the council. With any luck, they will choose Peter Herzog's replacement before the night is over. However, we are expecting a long night, to be sure.

• Entertainment options this week include the Coach House, which features Dishwalla ($15) on Thursday and the Robin Zander Band ($30) on Friday. Zander was the front man for Cheap Trick.

• If music isn't your cup of cider, there's a free comedy show with four "international touring headline comedians." It's in Dana Point. Click here for details.

• Heritage Hill Historical Park figures to be pretty cool on Saturday and Sunday as it dresses up for the holidays. http://lakeforest-ca.patch.com/groups/events/p/candlelight-tour_8fe25814 Click here for more info
