The brothers' idea came about while surfing the beaches of Mexico and feasting on fish tacos. This was the beginning of their own unique creation of the fish taco they introduced to California, and have been serving customers in over 50 Wahoo locations. Inside is a casual, beachy atmosphere and walls are filled with surf decor and logos. A favorite entree is the "Maui Bowl", teriyaki marinated steak, served over steamed seasoned white or brown rice. Indoor and outdoor dining are available.

In May 1996, the Mayors of Orange County selected Mayor Herzog to serve on the Orange County Local Agency Formation Commission.
