Ralphs Recalls Spinach with Possible Salmonella Contamination

Return baby spinach by the store's Private Selection brand for a full refund.

Five-ounce packages of Private Selection organic baby spinach are being recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.

The product, which is sold at the Lake Forest on Lake Forest Drive, has UPC number 0-11110-91128-5 and a best-by date of 5-25-12.

Salmonella was detected during a random U.S. Department of Agriculture inspection, according to Food Safety News.

Customers who have purchased the product can bring it back to the store for a full refund. As of yet, there have been no reported illnesses attributed to the recalled spinach.

The spinach shipped from Taylor Farms Retail in Salinas, CA, on May 9 and May 10.
