Cool, Gray Weekend in Store

There's a chance of rain Saturday and Sunday in Lake Forest.

Cloudy skies, cooler weather and gusty winds returned to Orange County on Friday, heralding another possibly wet weekend.

There's a variable chance of showers in Lake Forest this weekend, starting midmorning Saturday.

The chance of rain increases Sunday, topping out at a 70 percent chance of precipitation Sunday night.

Highs in Lake Forest will be in the high 50s to low 60s, with nighttime temperatures settling about 10 degrees below that.

Light snow is possible above 6,500 feet Saturday, although National Weather Service forecasters said they don't expect it to stick.

Even if the storm misses Orange County, expect the weekend to be cool and gray, forecasters predict.

Fairer, warm weather will return to Southern California on Monday.
