Free Webinars to Aid Job Hunt

Three sessions offered by UC Irvine Extension explore resume-writing, interviewing and salary negotiations. The first one is Tuesday.

UC Irvine Extension is offering a series of free job-hunting webinars starting this week.

Resume Writing: How to Get Your Resume Noticed  is Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will address resume planning and development, how to structure a resume for maximum effectiveness, and current hiring trends. The webinar will be conducted by Julie LaCroix, owner of a Newport Beach-based career consulting company.

Boost Your Interviewing IQ: Interviewing Skills is Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will provide job interview tips, strategies for addressing salaries, and interview wardrobe advice. Presenter Holly Davis, a human resources and training professional, will conduct the webinar.

Salary Negotiation: How to Get what You are Worth is Wednesday, Dec.  12, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will explore the rules of negotiation, provide tips for navigating the negotiation process, and answer some common negotiation questions. Christine Kelly, a career consultant for graduate students at the UC Irvine Career Center, will serve as the webinar presenter.
