Rain Storm May Arrive On Thanksgiving

There's a 30 percent chance of rain in Lake Forest on Thursday.

A low pressure system may "take aim" at Orange County on Thanksgiving Day, forecasters say.

On the heels of a cold storm last weekend that brought more than half an inch of rain to Lake Forest, National Weather Service forecasters predict a chilly and possibly wet Thanksgiving.

"Southern California may once again see more wet weather for the holiday, or the brunt of [the storm] may go to our south," Weather Service meteorologists said. "For now, the threat of unsettled and cooler weather remains."

There's a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday, then a high pressure system will bring fair and warmer weather, and possibly light wind, to Orange County on Friday through the weekend, Weather Service meteorologists said.

Thanksgiving is also forecast to be the coldest day of the week in Lake Forest, with a daytime temperature of 61 degrees.

Warm, sunny weather returns Saturday and Sunday. As the holiday weekend wraps up, the temperature in Lake Forest could hit the low 80s.
