Saddleback Church to Host Halloween Block Party

'Blocktober' is an annual family-friendly Halloween event that attracts thousands.

Area residents are invited to the annual "Blocktober" celebration at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest on Halloween night.

Thousands of revelers—many in costumes—attend the annual event each year. The party is from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31. Cost is $5.

The Lake Forest church campus will transform into a family-friendly Halloween scene, with music, carnival games, a petting zoo, train rides and a passel of food trucks.

A slew of food trucks are scheduled to participate in this year's event:

Why would anyone want to spend $5 somewhere (especially there) and spend even more money at food trucks when they could be trick or treating up and down their street with their parents getting free candy?

The candy is free and no one forces you to eat from the food trucks. It is alot of fun for young and old. Probably safer than some streets kids Trick or Treat on.
