Hot Weather Could Set Records

A sunny weekend is in store for Lake Forest.

Sunny weather has arrived in Lake Forest, bringing with it hot temperatures that have the potential to set some records, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters predict the temperature on Friday could hit 85 degrees, accompanied by a light breeze.

Lake Forest is among the inland areas that are predicted to get temperatures about 10 to 20 degrees warmer than normal.

Saturday will kick off the weekend with a high near 80 degrees, dropping to about 58 degrees at night, the NWS predicts.

Temperatures Sunday will return to the 70s, topping out at about 77 degrees. Forecasters predict that nighttime temperatures will hit 57 degrees.

Similar weather is predicted for Monday with a high near 76 degrees. Monday night is expected to be party cloudy, accompanied by some fog after 11 p.m. 

Temperatures will continue to drop as the week continues, returning to the 60s by Thursday.
