Wind Warning In Effect Through Friday

Strong gusts in the region are expected to continue through Friday, but die off before the weekend arrives.

The blustery winds that buffeted Lake Forest Thursday morning are expected to continue through Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

A high wind warning—meaning that gusts could possibly cause property damage—is in effect until 1 p.m. Friday.

The strongest winds are expected through and below passes and canyons of the San Bernardino and Santa Ana mountains, extending into inland portions of Orange County coastal areas and the Inland Empire.

Northeast winds blowing from 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, are predicted to continue into early Friday morning before diminishing early that afternoon.
