Officials from a variety of law-enforcement agencies announced Saturday the formation of a task force to enhance the investigation and search for accused triple-killer Christopher Dorner.
The Irvine Police Department, Riverside Police Department, FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, Los Angeles Police Department and some allied organizations will join the pursuit of Dorner.
Dorner is a fired Los Angeles police officer suspected of shooting to death last Sunday the 28-year-old daughter of an ex-LAPD captain who unsuccessfully represented Dorner in an appeal of his 2008 termination and her 27-year-old fiancé.
He also is accused of killing a Riverside police officer and wounding another early Thursday in an armed ambush of their car as it was stopped at a traffic light, about 20 minutes after he wounded an LAPD officer in a Corona shootout.
“The Dorner Task Force has combined investigative resources that will lead to the capture of Christopher Dorner,” LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera said.
Herrera urged anyone with information about Dorner to call (213) 486-6860.

Like a kid, I just communicate what I see, ms.sc. I do not play favorites. If someone has earned praise, even if I can't stand him, I deliver. If someone earns condemnation, even if he's my best bud, I deliver. I stopped playing the political game a long, long time ago. Today I'm free and the invisible shackles have come off. That's the only way I know how to hopefully change things. As long as we, as a collective people, get stuck in our ideologies and refuse to speak the truth, our problems will only get bigger. I hope to set some sort of example. That is my entire objective. But I don't expect many followers. Human beings aren't designed that way. God bless to you as well. God (whatever that means to you) is great.
Dorner will never be my 'hero'. He's scum, IMO. But I learned something from him. Well, 'learned' is really not the right word. Let's just say he reinforced something that I knew a long time ago. That in police work internal politics will do you in much faster than violating a citizen's civil liberties or even unjustly taking another human's life. That's really the lesson to be learned from this whole tragedy. But, as usual, most will fail to learn the lesson. So is life.
Congratulations! You passed the lesson! 70% of the general public are unable to see the truths that you stated here. Criminals don't play by rules. They carry concealed and the fact that the Sheriff would likely deny YOU a CCW if you applied (most law-abiders are rejected or don't bother applying knowing they would be rejected) makes criminal even that more bold. They will stick a gun in your nose because they know that the Sheriff does not allow most law-abiders to carry a gun concealed. It's like declawing a cat and sending him outside at night into the alleyway. Eventually he gets eaten alive. They tell you to call the police! HAH! Quite a joke, eh? By the time the cops show up you're either dead or you are left without your wallet and the cops take a report and tell you to be more careful where you go next time!!! HAH! That's the way your system is designed. The cops want a monopoly on the protection business. It's good during salary and pension negotiations at the bargaining table! HAH! :^)
You don't know that, Mr. big mouth. You know nothing about what I have experienced. Good salt of the earth citizens get killed everyday by criminals because they have nothing to fight back with. And all of us know that. And the criminals know it too. That's why they are so emboldened when they hold up a store and stick a gun in a citizen's face at an ATM and tell them to turn over the loot. Because they know the OC Sheriff's VERY restrictive CCW policy that forbids the large, large majority of citizens to carry concealed. It has been proven OVER AND OVER AGAIN in documented examples that in towns and cities that have lenient CCW regs that those towns and cities are much safer than those that don't. Look at Chicago, for instance. One of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation and it has HUGE gun related violence. Why? Because criminals don't care about you laws, Mr. big mouth. In fact, they love it when the odds are in their favor and the local Sheriff or Chief of Police helps them out by banning law-abiding citizen from carrying firearms to protect themselves. Now go smoke some of that.
"Sad part about it is, he use to be one of them." The irony is so thick you couldn't cut through it with a chainsaw.
And I guess if it comes down to either the law or your life, only a slobbering moron would choose the law. Humans have an intense instinct for survival, as do all living creatures. Most rational people would take another life in order to save their own. Some men would even refuse to give up a seat in a liferaft for a child or a woman. Humans (and all living creatures) hold life dear. So if they would do those things to other creatures to save their own lives, there is no doubt in my mind that they would also break the law to survive, if it came down to that.
But I would never apply to a gang that would have me as a member. "You talk such a game and want to criticize the cops, next time your life is in danger don't call 911 because according to you the cops are a joke." If I could opt out of police services and get a nice discount on my taxes I would do it in a heartbeat without a second thought. The cops have never done anything for me. All they do is take reports and provide no follow up. If you want follow up you have to pressure your legislators to make the police do their jobs. Worthless. But they won't allow us to opt out. So we are coerced into belonging to their little kingdom.
Tough? I'm not 'tough'. You perceive me as being 'tough' only because I speak the truth, which is very unusual today in our society. But the police have never helped me. I have to protect myself. All they do is take reports and that's the end of it. So I have learned to protect myself. That's not 'tough'. That's SMART! "If there were no police around you by yourself wouldn't scare anyone that wanted to take you out." Wanted to 'take me out'? heh. If somebody wanted to 'take me out' what do the police do to prevent that from happening. As it stands way less than half the homicides are solved. So chances are if somebody wanted to "take me out" the cops aren't going to stop them. But if they know I might fight back - that certainly would stop them, wouldn't? All the cops do is take a report and call the coroner for pick-up. You sound pretty naive. "don't believe it take a trip to Mexico or somewhere there you're on your own and see how long you survive." I don't go to Mexico. We have more than enough "Mexico" up here. I can go to Santa Ana if I want to enjoy "Mexico". But American cops really aren't much better than mexican cops. Customer service and their morals really aren't that much better. And the mexican people pay cops bribes up front. We pay it in form of a pension. That's the only difference.
Ah come on, ms.sc. Don't you know how the system works by this time? Those cops are on a 30-day paid vacation right now. They call it "paid admin leave". The group of them might fly to Hawaii together to get out of this cold California weather. They aren't scared one bit because they know that the system will protect them. The citizens will get punished by being forced to pay huge settlements. The cops will walk away laughing like they always do. Look at the cop who shot and killed Manuel Loggins right in front of his 2 minor daughters! He's already been exonnerated by the DA! HAH! And OCSD has been making excuses for him since day one. Even the police union came to his defense when they should've stayed out of it. It's a corrupted, dirty system, ms.sc. From the top down. The last OCSD sheriff is still going time in Federal prison! HAH! That give you an idea of how filthy rotten to the core the system truly is!
JustUs, I do still believe in the majority of Law Enforcement however. I still have respect. Most of us were brought up that way. And to have a few sick Law Enforcement personnel ruin it for the entire establishment is wrong. I personally know of 2 that have died in the line-of-duty protecting their communities. I say a silent prayer for the ones in Law Enforcement who do have integrity and see their employment as an honor. JustUs, I believe this "corrupt, dirty system" has the entire Nation saying Enough Is Enough!
You don't understand, ms.sc. 95% cover for one another with the 'code of silence' which makes 95% of them bad. If a good one covers for a bad one it automatically makes him bad. The entire culture is sick. You can't overlook that. If you do you are only fooling yourself. The police culture must change to bring integrity back to our society. But they have no intention of changing because they view themselves as our 'betters' who have the power and authority to get whatever they want. Please, wise up, ms.sc. See society for what we've become!
if you don't like the culture in cali and you prefer the mentality of texas then go live in texas ... texas is 100,000 sq miles larger than cali, yet 12% of the population of the entire nation lives in cali .. ...12 million more people live in cali than in texas... texas begs people to move their state... but no one wants to go ...why not..??
